Environmental Monitoring Survey Results. 2008.
In February 2008, CIER conducted a survey to identify environmental monitoring issues for Aboriginal communities in Canada, including monitoring priorities, preferred methods for monitoring and any existing barriers to monitoring. The survey consisted of six questions focused on respondent background information and six targeted questions focused on environmental monitoring.
CIER solicited the majority of information from First Nation members or those familiar with First Nations communities, however, some Inuit and Métis participants included their input. This document is a summary of the results.
